1 LED lamp can save 510 KW until it RIP.
Last week, we had talked about the luminous efficiency of the LED lighting and normal lighting in the house.
Knowing from our second part, we know that under the same level of emitting light at about 200-300 lumens, requires:
3W LED lamp or 5W compact fluorescent light or 20W incandescent lamp.
So we compare with these lamps for reference.
For each hour:
3W Led lamp, will cause 0.003KW
5W CFLs, will cause 0.005KW
And 20W incandescent lamp will cause 0.02KW.
It is not easy to read.
Let’s make that longer, 1000 hours (the life time of an incandescent lamp.)
The power each lamp use will be:
3W Led lamp, will use 3KW.
5W CFLs, will use 5KW
And 20W incandescent lamp will use 20KW.
After 1000 hours, 17KW is saved.
In LED life span, we know that technically, 1 led lamp can replace 30 incandescent during its life time.
So, the conclusion is 1 LED lamp can save =17*30 times=510 KW until it RIP.
Don’t calculates how much money you saved on this, just thinking about how much energy you saved for the world. You do much for the environment. You are an environment hero, feels good, right?
